When the rain break, the world is bright and gay. In washing clean in its wake the roads and country lanes, the trees and the wide fields, it more often than not washes away the evil lying in man's heart.

All Mother Nature's children are equal, and are treated thus by the rains. For the rains know neither big nor small, rich nor poor, palace nor hovel.

Our story begins in one such hovel - a grimy bustee populated by the scum of the town. Here, in the company of thieves, murderers, lived Ramu hardly conscious of all that was around him as he spent his time with his beloved hobby, pidgeons.

Then one day this young man was horrified to see his only brother murdered in cold blood- why and by whom he did not know! All he knew was REVENGE! Forgetting all else, he swore to track down the men who had robbed him of his only relation.

A grim task at the best of times, it was all the more difficult for one in love. Torn between love and revenge. Ramu trod warily a happy medium. There was Chanda, the girl he loved-there was Bihari, the target for his revenge.

Then, on his wedding night, Ramu knew his opportunity was at hand, and leaving Chanda, his bride of but a couple of hours, Ramu went forth to tackle Bihari. Ere long, the news spread through the bustee like wild fire that Ramu had lost - Ramu was dead! Chanda-a bride and yet a widow on the same happy, the same tragic night!

But was Ramu really dead? Or was he lurking in the shadows-was he hidden by the pouring rain, waiting for his chance-still waiting to avenge his brother's death before returning to his bride's arms?

To know all the answers to his thrilling tale, you must wait and see the rains come upon the silver screen, in a clash of human passions and raging currents washing all else away.
